Artist Biography:

Carla Fache was born in Santiago, Chile, on May 14,1977.  Residing in Miami Beach, Fl since 2001. Since the age of four, her drawings reflected her creative mind, signaling her out from the rest of her peers. During her adolescence, her imagination exploded into a world of creativity, displayed onto the canvas.  She translates her innate and original talent, through her strengths and passions, using her favorite color "RED".  Surrealist art and the comics lured her into the art world, preparing her to discover her artistic niche in abstract modern art.  Her mission is to allow the spectator to tap into his/her own imagination and exercise his/her freedom of thought and expression through his/her own interpretation.


Artist Statement:

Painting is the faith within me, that endless hope that we as human beings carry through life.  In my artwork as in my life, everyday brings a new challenge, a new goal to reach.  When I paint, my canvas and I drift to another world, almost a dream world to me. All my senses come into play:  my emotions, my eyes, my hands, my canvas, my ears  I'm in tune with myself, and all that surrounds me.

My imagination travels to non-existing dimensions that I best describe through a process of layering. When I paint, I feel as if I am hypnotized by colors and textures, all of which will create soft, thin layers that hide or reveal a mark of an unspoken feeling, emotion, or thought. My intention is taking each one of my paintings to describe a specific mood, a subconscious-delivered message, or my most deep secrets. As the painting progress to attain a significant meaning, they become me, as a reflection of my Self and my every day life experiences.. As I journey I am evolving and growing, both in the content of my artworks and as a human being. Color is my personal therapy.

When I finish my paintings I feel happily released and satisfied with my work. The brushstrokes now on the canvas become the one you love: there is sacrifice, patience and devotion, yet there is a demanding, critical and detail-oriented side. Painting is like having thousands of lovers (canvases). Moreover, it is my renaissance, my life, my stairway to heaven.
